Many years behind a pair of turntables, most of them in the pubs and clubs along the Thames. Curly fell hard for Philadelphia and Salsoul in the late seventies, and never really came back.
These days you'll find him most weekends in Hersham & Weybridge — bringing Chic, Earth Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge and a thousand b-sides to the kind of nights where strangers end up dancing together by the second tune.
No laptop. No "DJ packages". Just a box of records, a feel for the room, and a quiet obsession with getting the right song on at the right time.
